Beef Lo Mein: Detailed Ingredients and Precise Cooking Instructions

Ingredients:

 Beef: 300g, thinly sliced

 Egg noodles: 200g

 Vegetables:

     Broccoli: 100g, cut into florets

     Carrots: 1, thinly sliced

     Onion: 1/2, thinly sliced

     Celery: 2 stalks, thinly sliced

 Seasonings:

     Soy sauce: 3 tablespoons

     Oyster sauce: 2 tablespoons

     Sugar: 1 tablespoon

     Shaoxing wine: 1 tablespoon

     Cornstarch: 1 teaspoon

     Sesame oil: 1 teaspoon

     Salt: to taste

     Black pepper: to taste

Instructions:

1. Slice the beef thinly and marinate it with soy sauce, oyster sauce, sugar, Shaoxing wine, cornstarch, and a pinch of black pepper for 15 minutes.

2. Wash and thinly slice the vegetables.

3. Cook the noodles:

     Bring a pot of water to a boil and add a little salt and oil.

     Add the noodles to the boiling water and cook until tender but still with some bite.

     Drain the noodles and set aside.

4. Stir-fry the beef:

     Heat oil in a pan over high heat and add the marinated beef.

     Stir-fry the beef quickly until it changes color and is cooked through.

     Remove the beef from the pan and set aside.

5. Stir-fry the vegetables:

     Leave a little oil in the pan and add the onion and celery strips and stir-fry until softened.

     Add the carrot strips and continue stir-frying until the carrots soften.

     Add the broccoli florets and continue stir-frying until the broccoli is cooked through.

6. Stir-fry the noodles:

     Remove the vegetables from the pan and set aside.

     Add a little more oil to the pan and add the drained noodles.

     Add soy sauce, oyster sauce, sugar, and a pinch of black pepper, and stir-fry evenly.

7. Add the cooked beef and vegetables to the pan and mix well with the noodles.

8. Drizzle with a little sesame oil and serve immediately.
