Ingredients

 Wonton wrappers: 40

 Ground pork: 250 grams

 Egg: 1

 Shaoxing wine: 2 teaspoons

 Ginger juice: 2 teaspoons

 Potato starch: 2 teaspoons

 Sesame oil: 1/2 teaspoon

 Salt: 1/4 teaspoon

 Five-spice powder: 1/4 teaspoon

 White pepper: 1/8 teaspoon

Sauce

 Homemade chili oil: 1/3 cup

 Sweet soy sauce: 1 tablespoon

 Soy sauce: 1 tablespoon

 Zhenjiang vinegar: 1 tablespoon

 Minced garlic: 4 grams

Spicy Wontons in Chili Oil

Instructions

1. Make the wonton filling

1. Place the ground pork in a bowl.

2. Add the egg, Shaoxing wine, ginger juice, potato starch, sesame oil, salt, five-spice powder, and white pepper.

3. Stir the filling well with chopsticks and marinate for 15 minutes.

2. Wrap the wontons

1. Take one wonton wrapper and place a small spoonful of filling in the center.

2. Pinch two corners of the wonton wrapper together, then pinch the two sides together to form a triangle.

3. Repeat steps 1 and 2 to wrap all the wontons.

3. Cook the wontons

1. Bring a pot of water to a boil. Add the wontons to the boiling water.

2. Cook until the wontons float to the top, then remove them from the pot and drain the water.

4. Make the sauce

1. In a bowl, combine the chili oil, sweet soy sauce, soy sauce, Zhenjiang vinegar, and minced garlic.

2. Stir well to combine.

5. Serve

1. Place the cooked wontons in a bowl.

2. Pour the sauce over the wontons.
